Our restoration sites are located within the Mexican Caribbean Biosphere Reserve, in Akumal Bay.
We started with funding from the Summit Foundation and the MAR Fund, with the aim of creating local groups that could multiply restoration efforts.
Activities have been started and the first colonies planted to assess the susceptibility of carrying out a long-term project (1000 colonies), the activities of local groups were also supervised in the following years. Currently two local groups give continuity to the restoration activities (Expeditions Akumal and CEA).
